"Only a fraction of the large orchestra will be on the stage tonight," Mambo Party members told journalists.
The musicians promised to play the classic Latin American jazz at the Koktebel Jazz Party. "We try to translate the 1940s sound. The compositions we will perform were taken from the repertoire of the greatest people playing this sort of music," the performers said.
"This music is based on a percussion set, which is three instruments: the main one is timbales, a sort of percussions, we have Fedel-Alejandro playing it. Also the Mambo music is based on the conga drum while the germ of all that are the other percussion instruments — the bongo, the bongobell," trumpeter Peter Vostokov told us.
The musicians said they hope that spectators won't be able to stay in their seats and will start dancing. The band's members also promised to give a master class from the stage.
