Musician Igor Fedyunin, leader of the Rostov Dixieland, promised Koktebel Jazz Party festival guests that their performance will be a real show but declined to give any details.
"Let it be a surprise. We will be giving away good mood. Everything will be spontaneous and unexpected," he said. According to Fedyunin, the band has few solo instruments, which lets each musician showcase their improvisation, their creativity. "It is the individuality of each performer, their manner, their style, their tricks, that make one band different from another," he added.
Fedyunin said the band is 25 years old and was initially made up of music school students: "We are united by the love of this tradition, love of Dixieland, the music of our grandparents, as we call it. We like it, and we love playing it."
