Jazz it up in Koktebel

Jeremy Pelt: The Festival is a real success!

Jeremy Pelt: The Festival is a real success!

— What do you think of Koktebel, of the festival? Do you like everything about it?

— This is a very picturesque place, and besides, it's my first visit here. I can't say what I thought and felt about the place before I came here. To be honest, I was a bit worried, but it has turned out to be a really nice surprise for me. Glorious nature, fantastic, positive people. The festival is a real success! It's so cool here!

— If you had time, who would you want to hear perform here at the festival?

— It would be a pleasure to hear Valery Ponomaryov and Tom Harrell. I also enjoyed the bands that performed before us. Andrei Kondakov and the Brazil All Stars were great!

— How was your performance? Were you happy about everything?

— Everything went really well.

— What did you think of the audience at today's concert?

— The audience was great. I can only think of good things to say about them. You could tell that people came for the music and not just to stare, even though this is a place where jazz is not the most popular style of music. And it has been a real pleasure to come here and share what's closest to my heart — jazz.
