15th Koktebel Jazz Party opens August 18-20

The Organizing Committee of the Koktebel Jazz Party international jazz festival that will take place on August 18-20 this year at the artistic village of Koktebel in Crimea, has presented the branding and slogan for its 15th season. This year, the festival's motto repeats a line from Kings of Soviet Jazz, a song by Alexander Tsfasman, one of the most brilliant virtuosos of Soviet popular music: "Same place, same jazz." Constructivism, which made a breakthrough during the 1920s in post-revolution Russia, was selected as the main theme for the design of the stage. The festival program is divided into several venues. Guests will attend music shows and art talks given by outstanding jazz musicians and enjoy the wonderful vibe of Koktebel.

Rossiya Segodnya Director General and founder of the festival Dmitry Kiselev: "The 15th season marks one hundred years since the Russian Revolution and brings a new meaning to the annual international gathering on the Black Sea. Jazz that was invented as a combination of music traditions, has this spirit of revolutionary change and audacity. We look forward to greeting musicians from all across the world to challenge music stereotypes once again and inspire thousands of jazz enthusiasts."
